IC2-KIT (pH + Chloride)
The chloride ion and pH analyser is supplied with powerful analysis software that displays the measurement (and allows you to identify it) and can customise its calibration up to 5 customised standard points, among other features. Continuous monitoring is also available for the study of short-term reactions or processes.
The chloride ion sensor is a replacement module and can be exchanged for a new chloride sensor or any other sensor available in our catalogue.
Take note of the limited lifetime of the ISE chloride sensor, even if stored on a shelf or installed in a probe. Different sensors differ by several months under the same conditions.
Chloride determination is of particular importance in water desalination, waste water treatment, food industries and agricultural applications.
The determination of chloride according to NF ISO 9297:2000 based on the Mohr method. It uses a colorimetric determination of the equivalent point (with silver chromate) by titration with silver nitrate (AgNO3) as titrant. However, the colorimetric determination gives results of low reproducibility and low sensitivity. To overcome the problems of sensitivity and reproducibility, it is recommended to use a potentiometric determination of the chloride equivalent point with the same titrant and chloride ISE.
