Chloride Ion Selective Electrode (ISE)

NT Sensors manufactures and puts at your disposal high quality, reliable chloride ion selective electrodes based on the latest nanotechnology innovative research. Above all, the concentration of the chloride electrode can be determined using our sensors to obtain a quick measurement of the level of the salinity of water samples. Other chloride ISE applications are:

  • Determine the salinity and concentration levels in ocean saltwater
  • Seawater aquariums
  • Salt in food samples
  • Clinical Analysis: Urine, Sweat, Blood and so on
  • Plant tissue (dissolved in an aqueous solution)

In addition, chloride is usually a slow-reacting element and is not absorbed into the soil, so it’s easily transported and propagated through water. This makes it an effective tracing element to detect dangerous chemical substancies and the intrusion of high salinity water.

In conclusion, the chloride sensor has to work along with a reference electrode.

Where is Chloride measurement required so far?

The concentration of the Chloride ion gives a quick measurement of salinity of water samples. Use the Chloride ISE to measure chloride levels in ocean saltwater, wastewater or salt in food samples.

Also, the production of concrete can also require chloride testing because high levels of chloride can corrode the metal reinforcements that are present within a concrete structure.

We can measure the concentration of chloride in:
– Drinks and juices
– Paper industry
– Geology and mining
– Petroleum refining and gas production
– Power engineering
